Description
NOTICE Intent to Award as Sole Source. Proprietary Software License Requirement for the National Museum of Health and Medicine / Armed Forces Institute of Pathology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 6825 16th Street NW, Washington DC 20306. Note: This notice is provided for informational purposes only. DESCRIPTION- The Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), on behalf of the US Army Garrison (USAG), Fort Belvoir, VA, has a requirement for a proprietary software solution, EMu (Electronic Museum) Software, manufactured by K E Software. This software solution is license based, and in this instance the vendor will be providing for 10 concurrent user licenses with a Period of Performance from 30 September 2010 through 29 September 2011. The EMu solution provides a database that allows the users a single point to enter different types of artifacts, such as wet tissue, bones, equipment, art, archival reports, etc, and manage this information once entered. The subject requirement is in support of the National Museum of Health and Medicine / Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. MICC intends to limit sources considered to K E Software, 76 Richmond Street East, Suite 350, Toronto, ON M5C 1P1, Canada. K E Software is determined to be the only source deemed capable of fulfilling the requirement due to the unique nature of the requirements as provided by the National Museum of Health and Medicine. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Vendors may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Agency. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated capability within the established timeframe is invited to submit written notification to the contract specialist below no later than 27 September 2010 at 2:30PM EST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firms ability to provide the stated capability within the established timeframe. Information can be sent to the Contract Specialist, MICC ATTN: C E John Hoddinott, 9410 Jackson Loop, Suite 110, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5116. No telephone responses will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
