Description
The purpose of this amendment is to respond to the following questions: 1. On the SOW Paragraph 1.5 it states USDA shall provide all commercially produced cattle pens. QUESTION: Does USDA provision include: Gates; Loading Chutes and gates; Crowding Chutes and gates; Receiving Pen; Inspection Pen; Hardware for attaching pens to posts? RESPONSE: The USDA will only provide the cattle panels. All other components are provided by the contractor. 2. The SOW does not mention surface prepping, priming and painting the black pipe work. QUESTION: Is black pipe surface prep, priming and painting to be addressed as a change request (contract modification) after contract award, as a additional line item "Option" with the original bid, or handled some other way? RESPONSE: No painting is required. 3. The SOW does not mention anchoring concrete psi for the normal posts or the concrete and reinforcing steel requirements for the loading chute anchoring systems. QUESTION: Will concrete requirements be detailed or should the bidder identify these items in their technical proposal? RESPONSE: Concrete PSI should be equivalent to standard concrete footings. 4. The SOW does not identify the vendor and make/model or color of pen and chute. QUESTION: Please identify the vendor, make/model and color of pens the government is providing for us to install? RESPONSE: The loading and unloading chutes are site built not purchased from a manufacturer. Painting is not required. The USDA provided panels are gray Priefert panels. All other terms and conditions remain the same. The response date remains the same.
