Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a) (2)., A determination not to compete this proposal procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. Anticipated award date is September 27, 2010, NAICS Code is 423440 and size standards are $100 Million. There are no other vendors on the market (V60 Ventilator transport package w/ C-Flex and AVAPS software). b.Efforts made to ensure that offers are solicited from as many potential sources as practical: The mandatory source, GSA, was researched. c.If the Sole Source Exception (c) (1) was chosen, state the date of synopsis or the basis for waivers. N/A The above acquisition will be negotiated with: Jordan Reses Supply Company Folcroft West Business Park Independence Court #16-17 Folcroft, Pa. 19032 6.Determination of a Fair and Reasonable Cost The vendor, Jordan Reses Supply Company, is the only vendor for this product. 7.Description of market survey and any interested sources. If no market survey was conducted, state the reason. The GSA Schedule, a mandatory source, was research and revealed no contract vendors for a Jordan Reses Supply Company V60 Ventilator transport package w/ C-Flex and AVAPS software. 8.Additional Support for the use of other than full and open competition: a. Explanation of why technical data, specifications, engineering descriptions, statement of work or purchase descriptions suitable for full open and competition have not been developed or are not available: V60 Ventilator Transport Package - Includes: V60 ventilator with C-Flex and AVAPS software options, color touch screen, 6 hour Li-ion battery, graphics package, oxygen hose, quick reference card and power -University Cart -Circuit Support Arm Bracket -V60 Mounting Plate -Oxygen Tank Manifold/Mounting bracket -Oxygen Tank Holders b. When the sole source exception is used in the case of a follow-on acquisition, provide an estimate of the cost that would be duplicated and describe how the estimate was derived if the contract is awarded to other than the incumbent: N/A c.
