- Description
- Closing Date has been extended until Sept 27, 2010 at 11:00 am (Mountain Standard Time). ITEMS MUST BE BRAND NAME OR EQUAL. Questions can no longer be submitted. 1. QUESTION: Can you give me a brand name and part number to search with? Are we allowed to substitute an equal? My sources are all telling me that there are many variations on these two items. (Items 1 & 2, the H HYDRAULIC HOSE MACHINE WITH CRIMPER and HIGH PRESSURE HYDRAULIC HOSE FITTING KIT) Answer: One Brand name is a LAWSON hyrdraulic kit PN: 17067 and Lawson Hyrdrauli hose and fitting kit PN: 17069 Substitutes are allowed as long as they can match this type of equipment. (Items must be brand name or equal) 2. Question: The requirement listed states the tire changer needs to have a 3 phase motor, which is not typically found on this size of equipment. A single phase motor is the norm, however, we can quote this with a 3 phase motor, but the lead time will be extended to 15-16 weeks. Can we quote with the standard single phase? Answer: We can ask for a quote for a single phase motor, as long as the Tire changer is Heavy duty and is designed for Military specification tires, (HEMTT,HMMWV,FMTV,PLS tires) 3. Question: In regards to the hose kits and crimper that they would like quoted. We need to know what sizes hoses that they are going to be crimping to ID correct model as well as what type of power unit they would like to operate the crimper. On the hose kits - Parker does not sell a hose kit - are they referring to bulk hose and fittings to make up hose assemblies. If this is the case we would need to know application, sizes of hoses needed, working pressure, quantities and then on the fittings we would need to know sizes, end style of threads (JIC, NPT, inverted flare, etc) if male or female ends, are they needing straights, 45 or 90 degree. Answer: The Kits should have multiple sizes of hoses, 1/4, 7/16,5/8,1/2,3/4, 1 hoses to name a few. Yes we are referring to but not bulk, only to have small quantities of hoses to make a kit more deployable out to combat. The prssures vary by type of hose required. Prefer to have Low pressure, high pressure and fuel line/air line capable. Different fittings will be required (JIC, NPT, inverted flare, etc) also need different angles of fittings as well, 90 degree, 45 degree etc.. 4. Questions: More information on the types of Tires for the Tire Changer. Answer: Basic information is that it needs to support military specification tires, 16X22 tires to name a few. These machines must hold big oversized tires on military vehicles to include bolt together and split rim assembly tires.
