- THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL This is a sources sought synopsis announcement for market research in support of the depot level refurbishment and modification of P-3 wing and weapons bay pylon assemblies. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is for preliminary planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the USG for any purpose other than market research. Further, the USG is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. The USG is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. No contract shall be awarded from this market research. It is anticipated that this proposed project will be an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with potential for Multiple Award Contracts. The required services are for depot level refurbishment and modification of up to 100 wing pylons, 50 heavy-weight and 150 light-weight weapons bay pylon assemblies. The refurbishment will require modification of universal pylons to standard pylons and installation of MIL-STD-1760D wiring to support the P-3C Digital Stores Management System (DSMS). The P-3 wing and weapons bay pylons are to be refurbished to "like-new" condition with current U.S. Navy technical directives incorporated. The effort will also include providing standardized wing pylon spacers, BRU-15 and BRU-12 bomb racks and miscellaneous attachment hardware. Interested businesses should submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages) demonstrating ability to perform the services listed in this synopsis. The package should also provide the following information: - Business size, specify if Hubzone, SDVOSB, Women Owned, 8a etc. - An estimate of Turn Around Time - An estimate of inductions per month - Quantity discounts and where the quantity breaks would occur This announcement is NOT a RFP, nor shall the USG be responsible to pay for any information/items submitted in response to this synopsis.
