Description
W90Q7C10HDS008 Train Car Repairs. This is a total small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 811310 and the small business size standard is $7million. The small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program is not applicable. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Any offers received will be considered. The supplying company shall provide the following Services: Service list: 1.Mold and mildew remediation. Clean tops, walls, windows, seats, seat undersides, floor surface, clean and wash all metal surfaces. 2.Repair of train doors. Clean metal and rubber seals, remove rust, treat metal with rust stopper, prime raw metal, caulk and seal around doors, clean area around doors. 3.Repair of train windows. Clean metal and rubber seals, romove rust, treat metal with rust stopper, prime raw metal, caulk and seal around windows, clean area around windows. 4.Paint train. Sand blasing to remove surface rust, clean, prep and prime outside metal of train cars, apply rust stopper, fill holes after rust removal, paint cars after rust remediation. 5.Apply safety strips. Install non-skid safety stips at train car doors. 6.This is a general list and may not cover every thing that needs repaired or cleaned. The site visit is essential to answer all questions about the work required. If you are not at the site visit you will not have all the information needed to propose a quote for this job. 7.The Davis Bacon Act applies on this contract using General Decision Number: AL100110. See attached. Site visit requirement: There will be a site visit held on Monday September 27, 2010 at 1:00PM that must be attended in order to submit a quote for this requirement. Business must be within 100 miles of Huntsville, AL. If you do not have access to Redstone Arsenal please submit Name, Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Company Name, email address and Phone number via email to charles.wright4@us.army.mil by Monday, September 27, 2010 8:00 AM CST. Information is rquired to obtain access to the installation. We will meet all interested vendors at the visiting center at 12:30 CST to escort vendors to the train site. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, The offeror must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer. 252.232-7003 Electronic Submission of Payment Requests and Receiving Reports. 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation is the lowest priced technically acceptable offer.
