- Statement of Work: NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) service urgently needed for USS Stennis CVN 74 currently ported at Washington State, specifically Bremerton Repair Facility. Seven Centerline Lights located on the aircraft carrier require NDT inspection. NDT is required in two stages. First stage, after removing the discrepant lights and second stage, after installation of the lights. All Seven Centerline Line Lights are welded on the carrier deck at zero level, thus no climbing or any aide for elevation is required to perform the NDT. NDT certification of the Seven Centerline Lights is required before the aircraft carrier may leave port. The contractor must provide all necessary specialized tools and specialized equipment, not including consumable items, to effectively perform the NDT in the scheduled specified date. In addition the contractor must be NAVSEA certified to inspect in accordance with NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB 010/271. The acceptance standard is MIL-STD-2035. Task involves prolong bending, kneeling and personnel is subject to ship board and weather environments. No other specialized tool or other specialized support equipment from the government is needed or anticipated. For additional requirements and condition see footnotes below. Travel: Travel is authorized on this task to Bremerton, WA from San Diego, CA for a total of five days. Material: The purchase of consumable items and the shipping of consumables and tools to perform NDT requirements is authorized. Period of Performance: Work must be performed between 01 Oct 2010 and 30 Nov 2010, (ship work scheduling and deployment is classified). FRCSW point of contact is MR.
