Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Jacksonville is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of companies to create tactical flight plans for us by the T-45 ™s mission computer. The task will be to update the T-45 Almanac Loading System (ALS) software such that it will be capable of writing to USB devices. It will also maintain the capability of writing to the SCSI/MicroMid devices. The T-45 ALS is a PC-based planning system designed to allow the operator to download Digital Aeronautical Flight Information Files (DAFIF) onto a Personal Computer (PC) from which the user can develop flight plans. Please see the attachment for applicable specifications to this requirement. The contract resulting from this requirement will be for the ALS at the Program Executive Office Tactical Aircraft Programs (PMA 273), located at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD. Interested firms are requested to submit a capability statement outlining their ability to meet or exceed this potential requirement no later than 3:00pm (Eastern Standard Time), 21 September 2010 stating their business size, as well as a point of contact. The government will use the results of this announcement to determine whether the acquisition of the above described requirement should be solicited as full and open, or whether a sole source procedure should be utilized. The Government will not pay or provide reimbursement for any costs incurred in the preparation or delivery of the request for information.
