- Description
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), plans to award a contract to Delta Engineers, P.C., New York, on a sole-source basis for architectural and engineering services to update their previous designs for major renovations addressing deferred maintenance of critical designs for the Roof Replacements at the Pasture Systems and Watershed Management Unit in University Park, PA and at the New England Plant, Soil and Water Laboratory in Orono, ME. The specific phase for these projects include: construction management services and inspection services of the construction projects for its research laboratory facilities in University Park, PA and in Orono, ME. The original engineering documents for these projects were signed, sealed, and dated by a professional engineer employed by Delta Engineers, P.C. who had prepared and approved these documents. As such, Delta Engineers, P.C. assumes liability for these design represented by the project engineering documents. In order to maintain a single source of liability any corrections, revisions, or additions to be made to the project are required to be made by the professional engineer, or a representative within the company, who originally signed and sealed these documents. The anticipated award dates are on or about fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government whether to compete these proposed requirements based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
