FORT BLISS REQUEST FOR COMMERCIAL INTERNET, CABLE/SATELLITE, TELEVISION/PHONE SERVICE PROVIDERS: The US Army Garrison at Fort Bliss will be holding one nationwide Information and Technical Forum in order to give commercial internet, cable/satellite television and telephone vendors an opportunity to provide their services to newly constructed barracks on Fort Bliss. This Forum will discuss in detail the requirements needed to provide personal commercial service to barracks on Fort Bliss. The overall goal is to identify multiple commercial service providers that can provide the services required under the rules, policies and requirements set by Fort Bliss. The Primary Objectives for this Information and Technical Forum: 1) To Provide Information to Commercial Internet, Cable/Satellite Television & Telephone Service Providers 2) Identify Commercial Service Providers that can meet the requirement 3) Specify the Fort Bliss requirements 4) Identify Commercial Service Providers Capabilities Fort Bliss will be seeking input, at a minimum into the following concerns: 1) Identify Standards used by the Commercial Service Providers 2) Determine the most effective approach to provide service, identify the time/management impacts that potentially could arise from various alternate decisions 3) Determine how to best utilize the existing IT infrastructure duck bank 4) Determine the most effective commercial service provider that would help to achieve Fort Bliss objectives 5) Determine what services are provided 6) Determine how to maximize effectiveness of the service 7) Identify industry best practices and determine how to incorporate innovative strategies (new technologies) 8) Ensure that the requirements for Fort Bliss are possible using Industry Standards. INFORMATION GATHERED RELATIVE TO THIS FORUM WILL PERMIT ANALYSIS TO DETERMINE THE CAPABILITES OF PROVIDING COMMERICAL INTERNET, CABLE/SATELLITE TELEVISION AND TELEPHONE SERVICE AND INPUT IS DESIRED FROM ALL INTERESTED PARTIES. THIS FORUM IS NOT RESTRICTED AND IS OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS THAT PROVIDES ALL THE FOLLOWING CAPABILITIES. 1 Commercial Internet Service (NAICS 518210) 2 Commercial Cable/Satellite Television (NAICS 515210) 3 Commercial Telephone Service (NAICS 517110) The Information and Technical Forum will be held: 13 September 2010 Fort Bliss Garrison Command Conference Room at Building 1, Pershing St. Fort Bliss, Texas. Due to hightened security at the post, you will be required to enter through the Robert E. Lee Gate and obtain a day pass. Please arrive early in order to be processed timely. You must have proof of insurance, a drivers licence, and auto registration in order to obtain a pass. The Forum will Start Promptly at 08:30 a.m. and go until 11:00 PM LOCAL TIME. Assembly will take place starting at 8:00 AM. You are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to register yourself and any other participants from your firm (THERE IS NO FEE) please keep the participants to no more than 2-3 people as space is limited.
