Description
The USDA, ARS, Western Regional Research Center, Albany, California has a requirement to recondition/repair an existing Basil Model 4600 cage and rack washer system. Line 01: Basil cage and rack refit consists of replacing all electrically actuated valves with pneumatic valves, including the water damper; removing non-essential wiring and conduit (formerly associated with electrically activated valves) and replace with appropriate pneumatic tubing; installing an air compressor; fit with pneumatic door gaskets and associated hardware; replacing the controller, and controller enclosure, with new touch screen and printer; provide capability for energy-saving water-saving shortened cycle, at least 8 loads per hour; provide alarm for dry sump, or pump pressure failure, occurring at any time during wash or rinse cycle; equip system for detection of any blocked or significantly restricted movement of carousel (e.g., by an obstacle) and automatically halt wash cycle and activate an audible alarm; provide full controller display on both load/dirty and unload/clean sides; provide controller programming on load/dirty side; provide basic functional operation (at a minimum include Open, Close, and Start) on both sides; provide controller with software backup; furnish user/operating manuals and schematics; Provide system commissioning and on-site instructional/operator training. Line 02: High performance washer enhancement option mode with separate set of headers and jets and mounted alongside the normal wash reciprocating headers. These jets are supplied with fresh, hot water that is heated through the onboard heat exchanger; the heat control must provide temperatures up to 200 degrees F. Total water usage in this mode is approximately 25 gallons per cycle. This solicitation incorporates the following commercial FAR clauses by reference 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5. Funds are not currently available for this acquisition and award will be made subject to the availability of funds.
