Description
DARPA will host a Proposers' Day Conference for the Communications Under Extreme RF Spectrum Conditions program on September 20, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Arlington, VA at the Capital Conference Center, 3601 Wilson Blvd, 6th Floor, in support of the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) DARPA-BAA-10-74 (expected to be released prior to the Conference). The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the Communications Under Extreme RF Spectrum Conditions program, promote additional discussion on this topic, and address questions from potential proposers. This proposers' day will be held at the SECRET level to allow government presentations and discussion of objective, metrics, and utility. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: DARPA anticipates releasing the BAA for the Communications Under Extreme RF Spectrum Conditions (CommEx) program with the objective of enabling radio communication networks to operate under extremely severe and complex interference, anticipating traditional interference and communications threats, high power threats, as well as novel interference resulting from new adaptive threats. The CommEx program will assess next generation and beyond jamming threats and then develop advanced interference suppression and avoidance technologies to successfully communicate in the presence of severe, traditional, and novel types of interference that are orders-of-magnitude more severe than what are currently addressed by the most advanced systems. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Participants must register no later than close of business (5:00 PM ET) September 16, 2010 at website https://safe.sysplan.com/sto/. Please register using the link titled "CommEx Proposers' Day". Due to space limitations of the conference facility, attendance will be limited to the first 100 registrants and to no more than 3 representatives per organization. A SECRET clearance will be required for this meeting. Clearances must be passed by September 16, 2010, using one of the methods below.
