- Under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-5 (Authorized by Statute), the Washington D.C. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (DC VAMC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Atlas Research, LLC for developing a more data driven approach to medication management to include a comprehensive assessment of a patient's experience with medication to include side effects. Atlas Research, LLC has an extensive corporate and management team experience with planning, developing content and providing logistical support for VA advisory committee meetings, seminars, and educational symposia. They have developed programs in collaboration with the VA Employee Education System (EES) and have the expertise, access and ability to apply medical algorithms related to patent application 2009/0132460A1, which are central to the proposed decision support tool. This is a notice of intent and is not for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation of a request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received no later than September 15, 2010 @ 2:00PM, local time. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
