Description
This announcement is issued in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS), Section 3.2.2.4. The FAA currently has a contract with Adacel Systems, Inc. to design, develop, produce, install and test TSS at various sites utilizing their proprietary MaxSim 4 software. Previously installed TSS at the FAA Academy and three prototype sites (Miami, Phoenix, Ontario) are using MaxSim 3.X software, and require additional functionality upgrades that have been developed and deployed under MaxSim 4.X. The FAA has a requirement to upgrade 6 existing TSS at the sites previously mentioned from MaxSim 3.X software to MaxSim 4.X software configuration; in addition to the associated hardware necessary to operation of the MaxSim 4.X software. Firms interested in participating in a competitive procurement for this requirement are requested to submit a capabilities statement which addresses each of the aforementioned functionalities. It is requested that this statement also address the following: 1. The vendor must demonstrate their expertise with system integration and interoperability and configuration management on FAA-owned Academy TSS systems utilizing the proprietary software. 2. Identify any subcontractor or teaming arrangements that may be used to fulfill the requirements 3. Provide a completed Business Declaration Form (attached). The FAA will use the capabilities statements to determine if adequate capability exists among vendors to conduct full and open competition. This is not a request for offers and The FAA will not be liable for any costs associated with the preparation of responses nor reimburse or otherwise pay any costs incurred by any party responding to this survey. Interested firms should provide their capabilities statements electronically to the Contracting Officer at curtis.fields@faa.gov, or Contract Specialist at katherine.mccray@faa.gov.
