- Contract Award Amount equals $479,464.23 Recovery Funds, and $193,961.59 Non-Recovery Funds. This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. The Timberline Lodge pump house has been in service for 50 years housing and protecting all pumping equipment that serves the Lodge and Ski Facilities. Due to the aging that comes from surviving 50 Mt. Hood winters the structural framing is now in need of upgrades and improvements. Remedial upgrades and improvements can extend the useful service life of this facility for many decades to come. Proposed actions are to re move and replace all existing concrete foundations and reconnect 4x12 frame to new concrete and upgrade the connection between 4x12 frame members and 2x12 crossties with new hardware, fasteners, and resoration of all 4x12s and 2x12s to original strength and condition.
