Description
The United States Air Force, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5344 is preparing to solicit for a firm-fixed price contract for a Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA). The contract line item will be firm-fixed price. The proposed equipment shall meet the requirements contained in the specifications below: 1. Quantity of one (1) Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA) with the following functionalities: a. Research quality DMA that provides viscoelastic measurements on materials from 1000 Pa to 1000 GPa. b. The temperature and frequency range of operation are (-150 to 600 deg C) and (0.01 to 200 Hz) respectively. c. The force range is 0.0001 to 18 Newtons. d. The amplitude range is 0.5 to 10,000 microns with resolution to 1 nanometer over entire 25mm of drive shaft travel using a linear optical encoder. e. Must provide ultra sensitive force measurements down to 0.0001 newtons which is ideal for films, fibers and other materials with low stiffness. f. Must be designed with a full VGA touch control color screen, automated furnace movement, and easy clamping accessibility. g. Accessory kit to include a 35mm dual cantilever bending fixture, digital callipers, steel standards and a torque meter. h. Time Temperature Superposition software. i. Must also include Advantage (tm) software for complete experimental control of all Q Series (tm) modules. The Advantage software supports Unicode, and must include a choice of English, German, Japanese, and Chinese languages. Must offer extensive setup templates, and wizards, on-line help menus with diagnostics, and multimedia support, plus Universal Analysis 2000, and the most comprehensive data analysis program available. j. Other features required include real time data analysis, autonalysis, ability to create up to 20 simultaneous curve overlay plots, a customer report generator using Microsoft Word and Excel Templates, spreadsheet text fiels, PCX, and HPGL graphics files, and ability to export ASCII data files. k. Operating and data analysis software is un-keyed and can be installed on Windows vista or XP compatible computers with CD-ROM drives. A one year parts and labor warranty will be provided with the Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer covering all items described above. The warranty period will begin upon successful installation and operational validation of the Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer. Free unlimited hotline telephone support from 08:30 am to 4:30 pm (EST) Monday through Friday provided by the applications lab staff for the life of the equipment. Response to phone support requests will be within 24 hours, shipment of parts in stock within 24 hours, shipment of parts out of stock within 14 calendar days, Delivery for this equipment should be 30 days after receipt of order (ARO). FOB Destination. We intend to award this contract sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
