Description
DESCRIPTION: The Government intends to award a sole source bridge contract for the existing Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of communications and information systems under the 160th Signal Brigade and its subordinate units, and other military services and customers of the 160th Signal Brigade. The bridge contract is put in place to provide services while acquisition approvals are received and competition for the follow-on is completed. THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE IS 1 DECEMBER 2010 THROUGH 30 NOVEMBER 2011. The FAR Clause 52.217-8; Option to Extend Services will be included. There is no solicitation. Responses to this notice are due by noon, AZ time, 10 September 2010. Responses should be addressed to elizabeth.woodson@us.army.mil or lorraine.arciniega@us.army.mil. BACKGROUND: This requirement includes U.S. Security and Stabilization communications commercialization and the Coalition Multinational Forces (CMN) Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) Internet Protocol (IP-based) Network. The equipment and systems provide communications throughout the U.S. Army Forces Central Command (ARCENT) and Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). Communications services are currently provided in Afghanistan, Djibouti, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Communication services include the CMN Hub which uses a wide variety of technology including satellite, bandwidth on demand, voice, (supporting both secure and unsecured voice channels, SIPR, NIPR, CENTRIXS, and Video connectivity to remote sites) and data. The CMN Hub also functions as the CENTRIXS communications backbone. SCOPE: The contractor shall provide all management, administration, personnel, services, parts, supplies, tools, leased vehicles (quantity approved by the Government), overtime, travel, training, and equipment (except for Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE), Government- Furnished Property (GFP)) required to perform installation and de-installation of equipment, perform supply functions, and provide logistics support. The contractor shall also perform work required to move equipment in Government-provided transportation. Submit responses to the Point of Contact, Elizabeth C.
