- The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price/labor hour contract for one base year and four, one year options, with Applied Information Sciences, Inc., 11400 Commerce Park Drive, Reston, VA 20191, under Request for Quote (RFQ) number 0221912. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Applied Information Sciences is to provide the Federal Bureau of Investigation with software maintenance, enhancements, and helpdesk support for the Government Employee's Training Act (GETA) Training Management System (GTMS). Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government and related industry, it has been determined the FBI's requirement for the referenced service can only be provided by Applied Information Sciences, Inc. GTMS was custom developed by Applied Information Sciences, Inc. To adequately maintain and enhance the system requires the expertise of the original vendor. However, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 9:00 am EDT, Tuesday, September 7, 2010, Mrs. Margaret D. Einspahr, via email at meinspahr@fbiacademy.edu. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 541511, Custom Computer Programming Services, and the size standard is $25.0 million. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 12. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
