- Background, Qualifications, Deliverables The Summary of the statement of work (SOW) governs the Senior System Engineering support for the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) Camera Project at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Requirement: Services of a Senior System Engineering support for the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) Camera Project at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. This project will design, fabricate and test the Camera for a large-aperture, wide field, ground-based telescope that will survey half the sky every few nights in six visible bands. The three major systems that comprise LSSTC are Camera, Telescope & Site, and Data Management. The 5 major sub-systems that comprise the Camera are Camera Body and Mechanisms, Cryostat, Camera Electronics,Camera Sensor and Camera Utilities
