- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS), National Wildlife Research Center (NWRC), Fort Collins, CO anticipates a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for Security Services to the Colorado State University Police Department. The NWRC is located on leased land within the boundaries of the CSU Campus. Services being provided are Law Enforcement, Traffic Control, Criminal Investigation, Patrol and Response, Crowd Control, Riot Response and 911 services. While some law enforcement agencies have a concurrent jurisdiction to perform some of the above services on property located on the campus, no private or commercial entity has the legal jurisdiction to provide all of the above services to NWRC if required or needed. The only Law Enforcement entity with the primary jurisdictional role to perform the above services on CSU property is the CSU Police Department and no other vendor will satisfy NWRC requirements. The sole source would extend the period of performance from I October 2010 through 30 September 2014. Interested sources that are capable of providing the equivalent services listed above are encouraged to submit statements of capability to the contracting office. Small business concerns are encouraged to participate. This is not a request for competitive proposals, but instead a market research method to determine interested sources. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. Please provide past performance and references regarding your ability to provide this supply and service along with your Statement of Capability. The Government will not award a contract based on the information received, nor reimburse participants for information they provide. Information provided is strictly voluntary.
