Description
To be the Governments leader in acquisition services, GSA sets the highest standards for its acquisition programs. With the recent award of 15 BPAs of Office Supplies in support of the Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative (FSSI) and to best allocate government resources, GSA will temporarily postpone Schedule 75 to new Multiple Awards Schedules (MAS) offers for the next 24 months, effective October 1, 2010. At the end of that time, GSA will evaluate and reassess the effectiveness of the program. GSA still recognizes the important role of our schedule holders who have long supported the MAS program. Since holding a schedule contract is a very expensive proposition for the schedule holder and GSA, we are reallocating our resources to better serve our customer base. Current Schedule 75 contract holders with available options that are successfully performing will continue to be exercised. Additionally, modification requests to existing contracts will still be honored. GSA will be closing the schedule to new offers as of October 1, 2010. All offers received prior to that date will be reviewed and considered for award if acceptable. Offers not received by the deadline will not be considered. Furthermore, those offers that have been rejected can only be resubmitted after the 24 month postponement period. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to reject any offer which is non-complaint. Questions regarding postponement: GSA Contact: Alan Rosner, 212-264-0868 E-mail: smartshop@gsa.gov The refreshed Solicitation for Multiple Award Schedule 75, Office Products / Supplies and Services and New Products Technology will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website on the Internet at http://www.FedBizOpps.gov on or about September 3, 2010.
