Description
The Army Contracting Command (ACC) Joint Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle Management Command is conducting preliminary research to identify potential sources and requesting information from industry and commercial vendors about their research and development efforts in the supply of one Automated Optical Circuit Card Inspection system. The system shall utilize a known good circuit board and compare it to an unknown system. The system shall be capable of identifying missing components, and misplaced components. The system shall be able to correctly operate in a size range from a 0402 package SMT discrete component to a large 1 inch by 1 inch size SMT component. The system shall be capable of handling circuit cards up to 10inches by 10inches and shall be capable of saving inspection routines such that they can be used again in future builds. Interested firms shall submit their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, experience, and pertinent information as indicated in this notice. All information submitted will be at no cost or obligation to the government and information will not be returned. All proprietary and restricted information provided in response to this synopsis should be clearly marked as such. All responses shall be in the English language. This is a sources sought notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is the Government obligated to issue an RFP. No contractual award will be made as a result of this notice. The government is not obligated to notify the respondents of the results of this survey. Responses shall indicate the size of the business entity; large or small business and shall have a valid ORCA certifications. Responses shall include all pertinent e-mail address (es), mailing address (es) and telephone number(s) in the body of the response. All respondents must respond No Later Than Close of Business Day, 14 Sept. 2010. Interested firms should submit the above no later than September 8, 2010.
