- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Performance Work Statement (PWS) pertains to the Industrial Hygiene Office located at Fort Detrick, Frederick, Maryland has a requirement to perform atmospheric and bulk sampling for a variety of stressors to periodically assess the potential for health hazardous exposures to personnel in both industrial and nonindustrial workcenters under its supervision. The atmospheric and bulk sampling contract is for the contractor to receive samples submitted by the government and conduct laboratory analyses within their facility, followed by conveyance of the analytical results to the submitting Industrial Hygiene office. The successful bidder may choose to use a private courier for sample transport, or chose to use a commercial courier such as FEDEX or UPS. The solicited Request for Quotation should be against each line item in Exhibit A. The Contractor shall be responsible for the pick up of samples within 24 hours after notification by a representative from a Government Industrial Hygiene Office: -Fort Detrick, Frederick, MD, -Fort George G. Meade, Odenton, MD -Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA -Defense Distribution Depot Susquenhanna, New Cumberland, PA -Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, PA -Fort Indiantown Gap, Annvile, PA -Charles E. Kelly Support Facility, Oakdale, PA Pickup of samples shall be accomplished Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. through 3:00 P.M. The contractor is authorized to use any normal courier service to pick up samples.
