Description

This is a Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source contract to North Carolina State Ports Authority, 1 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28401-7002. This award is to provide wharfage and staging to II MEF, Camp Lejeune, NC. North Carolina State Ports Authority is the sole source for access to the two deep water ports located in eastern North Carolina. Reference NAICS Code 483111. CLIN 0001 Wharfage and staging, period of performance 01 Oct 2010 through 30 Sep 2011, Qty 12 months Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all quotes received within 1 day after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Quotes sent via Federal Express or hand carried must be delivered to Contracting Department, Attn: Nancy Peterson, Bldg 1116, Camp Lejeune, NC 28547, during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM EST. Quotes submitted via facsimile will be sent to Nancy Peterson at (910)451-2332, and must clearly identify this notice on the first page. Quoters bear the burden of ensuring that the quote reaches the designated Purchasing Agent on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed. All pages of the transmission must reach the office before the deadline specified and pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in the office after the specified deadline will not be considered. Quotes may also be submitted via electronic mail to nancy.peterson@usmc.mil. The Quoter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile or electronic mail transmissions and should confirm by telephone that any quote was received. This purchase will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 13.106-1(b). The anticipated award date is 01 Oct 2010.
