Description
This procurement is for Convoy Simulator Scenario Trainer/Technician. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, supplies and services to develop, along with the Army, attack scenarios and solutions at the strategic, operational and tactical levels of convoy operations. The contractor shall refine concepts from results/insights gathered from their involvement in training events to develop the most optimum configuration for Current and Future Convoy Forces by providing the best convoy leadership training product using the latest technologies to immerse the Soldier into a virtual battle space. Offer effective training tools, integration services (VBS2 and FBCB2), and geographically accurate terrain to train leaders and convoy teams to adaptively think and learn how to make critical decisions while traveling in or commanding convoy operations. The Convoy Simulator is an interactive skills trainer using the VBS2 gaming engine designed to train drivers, TCs and gunners of military vehicles on how to react to improvised explosive devices (IEDs), avoid and/or react to ambushes, return fire, maneuver and react in the Operational Environment. Recent and on-going combat operations dictated a definite need for more convoy simulations training to assist in preparing Soldiers to live and operate in that environment.
