- This is a pre-solicitation notice for a proposed contract to Renovate Ward 2 West Building 100 at the Seattle Division of the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. The VA is seeking a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision of the proposed contract. Work will include, but is not limited to the following: Demolition, interior finishes, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and utility connections. There will be a pre-bid site visit which will be announced in the solicitation. The construction cost range is $2,000,000.00 million to $5,000,000.00 million. Contract completion time will be 270 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The VA anticipates awarding a firm, fixed price contract. This requirement will be offered through sealed bid competition with a 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The NAICS classification is 236220. The small business size standard is $33.5 Million average annual receipts for 3 preceding years. Construction document bid packages will be available on or about October 15, 2010. As authorized by FAR 5.102(a)(7), solicitation dissemination is limited to electronic medium, and VA will provide no hard copies. The solicitation, consisting of various bid documents, specifications, forms, and drawings which will be available for download at no charge on fedbizopps website upon issuance of the solicitation. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all bid documents and any amendments, and should re-visit fedbizopps periodically for any posted updates. Questions will not be received until after the pre-bid site visit. Telephone questions will not be responded to. Further details regarding the solicitation including dates and events will be made available in the solicitation.
