Description
NAVAIR intends to award a sole source contract to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Electronic Systems, Land and Self Protection Systems Division in Rolling Meadows, IL to incorporate laser warning and hostile fire indication capability into the AN/AAQ-24(V)25 sensor and processor. This effort includes all activities associated with an engineering change proposal for validating, verifying, and first article testing of upgraded AN/AAQ-24(V)25 sensors and processors. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Electronic Systems, Land and Self Protection Systems Division in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 'Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.' Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Electronic Systems, Land and Self Protection Systems Division is the sole AN/AAQ-24(V)25 designer, developer, and manufacturer with the intricate knowledge, unique engineering data, capability, resources, and expertise required to package, manufacture, and deliver AN/AAQ-24(V)25 sensors and processors with laser warning and hostile fire indication functions. Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Electronic Systems, Land and Self Protection Systems Division is the only source possessing the technical data necessary to certify that laser warning and hostile fire indication will not degrade AN/AAQ-24(V)25 system performance when operating on Marine Corps heavy lift helicopters and Navy transport aircraft. For small business or subcontracting opportunities, contact Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Electronic Systems, Land and Self Protection Systems Division, Contract Administrator, Mr. Richard J.
