Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. Submit written quotes on Reference# FA5575-11-Q-0001. In accordance with the Agreement of Defense and Cooperation between the Kingdom of Spain and the United States of America, any contract resulting from this notice/solicitation can only be entered into with companies authorized to carry out these activities in Spain under Spanish law. Companies must meet the requirements established by Spanish legistation for execution of Government works. The NAICS code for this requirement is 532120 (Truck, Utility Trailer, and RV (Recreational Vehicle) Rental and Leasing). This combined synopsis/solicitation is for the following commodities: Description of Supplies: Contractor shall provide vehicle lease services to include one (1) vehicle and all routine vehicle maintenance. If the leased vehicle is under repair or maintenance for longer than a 24 hour period, the contractor shall provide an alternate vehicle matching the same specifications at the request of the user. Routine maintenance shall include replacement and inspection of all vehicle normal wear and tear items, fluids and components. Normal wear and tear items include but are not limited to: engine oil, tires, hoses, belts, fluids, light bulbs and filters. The U.S. Government shall reimburse the contractor for repair or replacement of items due to accidental damage caused by U.S. Government personnel. Normal wear and tear such as minor scratches and dings caused by moving furniture in and out of the truck are NOT reimbursable. The cargo vehicle required for moving furniture and other household items. The type of vehicle provided shall be as follows: Cargo Truck 3,500 Kg, covered bed, diesel motor, automatic cargo lift, side door on cargo bin, A/C, load capacity of 20 cubic meters or larger. The total length of this contract is for a total of one (1) year and one (1) Three (3) month option. The base year is estimated to be 15 October 2010 through 14 October 2011 with 3 months after being an option year.
