- FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES ANNOUNCEMENT PRESOLICITATION NOTICE The Department of the Interior National Business Center, Acquisitions Service Directorate on behalf of the Bureau of Land Management intends to solicit for exclusive use fixed wing flight services as follows: DESCRIPTION This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice Only. The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management has a requirement for flight services using a fixed wing aircraft. Contractor-operated and maintained exclusive use fixed wing flight services for smokejumper deployment in the state of Alaska, the lower 48 states, and other interagency incidents. Services also include the transport of personnel and/or cargo and or aerial delivery (para-cargo) of fire support equipment. Contract aircraft must be certified under 14 CFR 23 or 25 and have engineering and parts manufacturing support. Services provided to the Department of the Interior agencies within the state of Alaska and the lower 48 States. The anticipated contract period will be from date of award through December 31, 2011, with four, one-year options. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is October 8, 2010 with a projected closing date of November 8, 2010. It will be a requirement that the successful awardees be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). The solicitation will be posted here as well as http://amd.nbc.gov under "Current Solicitations" under Business Opportunities.
