- Description
- Vicinity Map Project consists of 4 miles of new trail construction and 7 miles of existing trail restoration along the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. The new trail shall be constructed to meet the needs of multiple users including mountain bikes, hikers, and stock. Trail equipment shall be allowed on this project meeting a maximum of 38-inch tread. No four-wheelers shall be permitted on new trail for any reason. The project also consists of 17.5 miles of re-contouring existing roadbeds to meet the tread requirements for new trail. Placing fill material on the cut as well as rocks and slash is included. It is anticipated that complete drawings and specifications shall be available through this website in the late winter/early spring of 2011. Contractors are strongly encouraged to visit this project prior to winter as spring snow pack will make the project inaccessible.
