- Description
- This task is for an urgent and compelling requirement IAW FAR 8.405-6 (b)(3). To lose this support for any period of time would result in VA-FSC being unable to process payments, and it would ultimately result in their inability to execute their mission. The most detrimental loss would be the processing of all the VA medical center payments through the FSC Document Management System estimated at $15M plus a year. This task is an urgent and compelling requirement IAW FAR 8.405-6 (b)(3) to provide IT Services Support. This six month bridge will allow sufficient time for the Veterans Affairs (VA), Financial Services Center (FSC) to finalize their requirement and GSA to procure a new five (5) year follow-on task order. The support provided by this vendor is critical to the mission. To lose this support for any period of time would result in VA-FSC being unable to process payments, and it would ultimately result in their inability to execute their mission. The most detrimental loss would be the processing of all the VA medical center payments through the FSC Document Management System estimated at $15M plus a year. The VA-FSC also processes the Department of Immigration Health medical claims valued at more than $20M per year, the VA-FSC Credit Card processing System valued at $4 billion per year is utilized under this task order, and the VA's medical claims valued at $2 million per year is processed under this task order. If this 6 month Bridge task order is not awarded in a timely manner, it would severely compromised the medical support to the Veterans Administration. The intent of this bridge is to continue the existing level of performance being provided under the existing task order.
