Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for:Qty:1 Dual Channel Pulse Height Analyzer.Qty:1 Quad 1-kV Bias SupplyNASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items listed below:Specifications for a Dual Channel Pulse Height Analyzer:A dual channel pulse-height analyzer (PHA) is needed for testing solid-state detectors. Some of these tests will be performed as stand-alone tests using data accumulationand data display/analysis software provided by the vendor. This software will need,at a minimum, to be able to locate histogram peaks and determine the total number ofcountsin any user-selected region of interest. In addition, there will be other tests whichwill be controlled by LabVIEW (TM) software which the user will generate. This means that thevendor will need to also supply software drivers compatible with LabVIEW so that the collection of pulse-height data can be controlled by the user-supplied software. Each of the two PHAs will have to provide 8000 battery backed-up PHA channels. Each PHA will need to have integral non-linearity better than +- 0.025 % and differential non-linearity better than +- 1%, each over the top 99% of the dynamic range. Inaddition, gain stability needs to be better than 100 ppm/degree C. Coincidence/anti-coincidence logic between the two PHAs is desirable. The input pulses will be standard bipolaror unipolar shaped pulses with characteristic shaping times of ~ 1-2 microseconds.Typical signals will correspond to 0.1 to 10 MeV. The dual channel PHA should be in a NIM module.Specifications for a Quad 1-kV Bias Supply:A bias supply with 4 separate output voltages is needed to support testing of solid-statedetectors. This should be a NIM-based unit with the possibility to control each separatevoltage using LabVIEW. This could be either by direct commands to the power supply unitor by supplying 4 separate external control voltages in the approximate range from 0 - 10volts.In the latter case the user would need to provide external LabVIEW-controlled DACs.Each of the 4 output voltages would need to be selectable in the range 10 - 1000 Volts and with ripple less than 2 mV peak to peak over a frequency range from 10 Hz to 100 MHz.The bias supply must be able to be shut down in the event of a loss of vacuum (detected externally). Front-mounted controls should allow maual control of the 4separate power supplies and should include an LED display for displaying the output voltagesand currents. Automatic shutdown should occur if the detector current exceeds ~ 20microamps.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.This document should not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will theGovernment pay for the information solicited. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 5:00 p.m. EasternStandard Time on 10/14/10. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely forthe purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitivebasis.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a fulland open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within thediscretion of the government.Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is Nancy Abell, Greenbelt, MD 20771, 301-286-5867Voice 301-286-1714 Fax, E-mailnancy.a.abell@nasa.gov*****CORRECT PHONE number for the Purchasing Agent is 301-286-5971*****
