- The Government intends to solicit and procure services for the Mission Planning Support Contract II (MPSC II). The objective of this procurement effort is to provide continued mission planning support of Mission Planning Systems (MPS) which consist of the Unix Mission Planning System (UNIX-MPS), Portable Flight Planning System (PFPS), and the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS). The MPSs are paired with platform-unique software for aircraft and precision-guided weapons to create complex Mission Planning Environments (MPEs). The MPEs define the specific hardware and software approved for use on each weapon system. 1. It is anticipated that the effort will be awarded as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside. 2. Anticipated Source Selection Procedures: Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) 3. Anticipated Contract Types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursable No Fee (CRNF), and Time and Materials (T&M) 4. All responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, must be considered by the agency 5. The solicitation will result in one award of an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract. 6. The resulting contract will have a five (5) year ordering period with a period of performance that extends one (1) year beyond the ordering period. 7. Place of Contract Performance: Contract performance will take place in a large number of geographically diverse locations throughout the world. Currently, there are approximately 162 separate locations that require support although potential offeror's are advised that the actual number of locations requiring service during performance may vary substantially. 8. The Government anticipates releasing the formal Request for Proposal (RFP) on or after 27 Oct 2010 under solicitation number FA8217-10-R-5022. 9. Estimated Award Date: July 2011 10. The resulting contract will contain the FAR clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services 11.
