- The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Contracting Center, Edgewood Division, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (s) (RFP) solicitation on or about 22 October 2010 for the production of chemical and biological protective canisters/filters, M61, for the Chemical-Biological (CB) Joint Service General Purpose Mask (JSGPM), Field M50 and JSGPM, Combat Vehicle M51. The performance requirements of the M61 canister are specified in performance specification PRF-EA-C-2251 included in the RFP as an attachment. The concept for the M 61 canister spares is delivery of fully functional and operational JSGPM filters for CB Protective Mask Systems. The government intends to make multiple awards. The total period of performance will be for 84 months, allowing 24 months to pass First Article Testing. Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 15, Contracting by Negotiation, FAR 16.504 Indefinite Quantity, and 16.202 Fixed Price The NAICS code for this procurement is 339113 with the corresponding small business standard of 500 employees. The solicitation will be issued on a full and open competitive basis. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. Solicitation number W911SR-11-R-0002 (replaces W911SR-10-R-0019) is the number assigned for this effort. This will be the controlling document for preparation and submission of proposals. The US Army RDECOM has established a page on the Armys Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) website to allow electronic posting of the RFP and all attachments. All parties interested in this acquisition are invited to access information from the IBOP at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil.
