Description

The U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration (MARAD) intends to award a fixed price contract for Vessel Repairs on the Training Ship the Golden Bear. This requirement will include regulatory inspections, annual regulatory service of bridge electronics, navigation, safety and lifesaving equipment, tank coating renewals; and repairs and service to various piping, pumping and ship's service systems. The proposed contract will be performed while the vessel is located at Vallejo, California, at the foot of 200 Maritime Academy Drive in the beginning of January 2011. The request for quotes DTMA94Q11001 will be available by electronic posting on or about 10/26/10. This is an unrestricted requirement under the NAICS Code 336611 and it will not be Set-Aside for Small Businesses. Once it is issued a copy may be found at www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties can send a request for inclusion on the vendors list to patricia.etridge@dot.gov.
