- Description
- HUD's purpose to enter into a contract with the Metropolitan Council/Metro Transit is to provide Metropasses to each eligible Minnesota HUD employee participating in the Transit Subsidy Program. Metropass is a commuter ridership incentive program that provides unlimited rail or bus transit passes to Minnesota HUD employees at a discount. The goal of the Metropass program is to offer employees a commuting alternative; to reduce traffic and parking congestion. The Metropolitan Council, a political subdivision of the State of MN, presides over and manages Metro Transit (MTC). MTC is the only known source which can provide bus and train service throughout the metropolitan Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Contract C-CHI-01061 consists of one base year plus four additional one year options to extend the term of the contract. The cost to the government for the base year beginning July 1, 2010 is $60,000. The estimated total value of this contract is $300,000.
