Description
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1.The operative microscope equipment must interface with existing BrainLab Navigation system without the need to purchase additional software or hardware from BrainLab. 2.The Operative Microscope must either interface with current Sharplan Laser/ MM 6 Zeiss micromanipulator at no additional cost to the Baltimore VA or vendor must provide micromanipulator that will allow microscope to interface with a Sharplan model 1055S CO2 Laser. Cost of vendor provided micromanipulator must be reflected in bid. 3.Complete operational training will be provided to VA Baltimore staff operating the equipment. 4.All technical documentation and updates thereof must be on site. 5.All software updates, other than enhancements must be installed at no additional charge for the life of the systems as part of the bid. 6.OEM warranties will represent industry standard and will be explicitly stated in the bid response. 7.Service support agreements will be negotiated prior to acceptance of the systems. 8.All pre-installation and installation work shall be performed at no less than the State of Maryland's prevailing wage rates. 9.Specified equipment will be approved by the appropriate regulatory agencies for sale and use in the U.S. The following specifications are benchmark requirements for the operating room surgical microscope. Navigation included: 1.The system should provide fast and easy connection to all leading navigation systems without external components and irritating wiring. 2.The system should provide binocular, color injection and superimposition of navigation data. 3.The system should be able to track for viewing every point in the working and tilting range of the operating microscope. 4.The system must have laser-guided, high-speed auto focus system that delivers precise navigation by focusing to a fraction of a millimeter and precisely identifying the displayed point. Support in case of an emergency: 1.The system is covered by a 24/7 service and are supported by a help-desk database as well as a remote service function.
