- This is a sources sought synopsis seeking information from any firms that have an interest in submitting an offer as a prime contractor for a Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC). The work consists essentially of but is not limited to new construction, design/build for new construction, renovation, alteration, repair, and associated architecture/engineering work at Dover AFB. Types of structures may include, but are not limited to, administrative buildings, hospital and medical buildings, auditoriums, hangars, airfields, fire stations, garages, and prefabricated buildings. The capacity for the Multiple Award Construction Contract is $30,000,000.00 per base year and each of four option years. We are requesting that all interested and qualified firms respond to this sources sought notice with a capability statement similar to your marketing package used in the everyday course of doing business. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will utilize the following information in determining acquisition strategy: (1) summarize how your company is uniquely capable and qualified to handle this type of construction; (2) summarize projects completed similar to the project outlined above. The list of relevant projects may include names of the project team members and firm, point of contact (contracting officer and QAE/inspector) with titles, phone and fax numbers, project scope, and type of contract; (3) bonding: provide your bonding capacity per contract and aggregate; (4) A statement of your current business size status under the NAICS code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Contractors. In your response, also indicate whether you are a HUBZone small business concern, service- disabled veteran-owned small business firm, 8(a) contractor, small business firm, or large business firm. The information capability statement and data noted above must be submitted in written format via e-mail to emily.arthur@dover.af.mil not later than 4:30 PM (EDT) on October 22nd, 2010. This Sources Sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. In order to receive an award from any resultant solicitation, should one be issued, the successful offeror must be Central Contractor Registered (CCR). The CCR website is: http://www.ccr.gov/. The successful offeror must also have an active Online Representation and Certification Application (ORCA). The ORCA website is: http://orca.bpn.gov/. This sources sought synopsis notice should not be construed in any manner to be an obligation to issue a contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend in responding to this request.
