- Description
- RECOVERY--THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) is an unprecedented effort to jumpstart our economy, save and create millions of jobs, and put a down payment on addressing long-neglected challenges so our country can thrive in the 21st century. ARRA is an extraordinary response to a crisis unlike any since the Great Depression. The Recovery Act established unprecedented levels of transparency and accountability, creating the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board (RATB), for the express purpose of conducting oversight of ARRA funds and preventing or identifying fraud, waste, abuse, and/or mismanagement. One year ago, the RATB competitively awarded a task order under the GSA VETS contract for a fraud detection system. In the interest of efficiency and economy, the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board (RATB) intends to issue a sole source task order to enhance that fraud detection system utilizing the GSA VETS GWAC. The VETS GWAC is a service-disabled, veteran-owned, small business set aside contract. This acquisition augments current efforts for uncovering fraud, waste, abuse, and/or mismanagement of contracts and grants that were awarded using Recovery Act funds. Estimated award date is on or about October 19, 2010. The task order award will be a non-competitive acquisition based on a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract type with optional software licenses. The anticipated award amount is approximately $1.2 Million. This is not a request for competitive proposals, nor is a solicitation available. This notice is provided for "informational purposes only" under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
