Description
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct market research which will be used to formulate an acquisition strategy to provide a service contract to be administered by the Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs (NREA) Branch, Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA. The Regional Contracting Office-National Capital Region (RCO-NCR) is requesting responses from all concerns. The qualifying code for this effort is NAICS 562112. The Hazardous Waste Program of the Environmental Compliance Section of the Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs (NREA) Branch provides daily oversight and management of the environmental compliance programs in accordance with Marine Corps Order (MCO) 50902A. Included in these responsibilities are: emergency hazardous substance spill response, coordination and leadership sampling and testing of water, soil, and waste; and liaison, coordination, and Base representation with local, state, and federal environmental regulatory and enforcement agencies. The objectives for the requirement include: (1) providing monthly rental of 20 cubic year roll off containers; (2) relocation services within MCB, Quantico, VA; (3) transportation of a loaded roll off container to a designated disposal facility; and disposal of roll off box contents. Responses to this RFI shall not exceed ten (10) pages, including cover letter and contact information. Subject response must contain: (1) Capability statement sufficient to demonstrate performance acumen directly related to the objectives of NREA; (2) Citation of any current, or past customers (i.e., within the past 2 years) to include contract number, point of contact, telephone number or e-mail address, (3) Current commercial price listing showing pricing for similar type services; and (4) other material relevant to establishing core competencies of the firm. Response is due by 2:00 PM EST on Wednesday, 27 October 2010. Please submit e-mail responses to Wanda Wichmann at e-mail address Wanda.Wichmann@usmc.mil. NOTE: Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these services or to issue a solicitation. No solicitation documents exist at this time. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this RFI and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. Any information the Contractor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such.
