- This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only. This is NOT a request for SF330's or proposals. The Veterans Administration, Lebanon VA Medical Center is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to determine the availability of an Architect/Engineer (A/E) firm for design services at the Lebanon VA Medical Center, Lebanon, PA for Project # 595-10-105: Renovate 1-2 for Inpatient Unit. In collaboration with VA staff, the contracted A/E firm shall provide a complete set of working architectural, electrical, infection control, phasing, and mechanical drawings with specifications (in both paper form and electronic form) for the project. The A/E will survey subject areas of the medical center and develop a bid package to renovate the identified area within the constraints of the construction budget. The focus of this project is to renovate Building 1, 2nd Floor for a bed unit that can be used for Acute care, a Community Living Center, or a Behavioral Health unit, all with single bedrooms with private bathrooms. Patient and visitor flow is key in this project. Included in the designs, the A/E shall develop the necessary working drawings; contract specifications; phasing plans; final cost estimates for full and complete construction of this project. The A/E shall also ensure that the completed designs are in full compliance with all applicable codes and VA design guidelines. This project is subject to the availability of funds. The NAICS is 541310, Size Standard $4.5 million. Estimated cost range for construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. As a Sources Sought Notice, this is not a solicitation, but contractors must indicate their interest in this project by submitting the following: 1. The A/E firm's name, address, phone number, DUNS number, and socioeconomic status (i.e. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), HubZone Small Business, or 8(a) status). 2. An example of a project they've completed in similar size and scope. This information should include the title, location, description of work, dollar value, and a point of contact for reference (name and phone number). Architectural/Engineering Firms who possess experience in this type of design and renovation shall submit their response of interest in writing to Mr. Ronald Bell, Contract Specialist, Lebanon VA Medical Center (125), 1700 S. Lincoln Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042 not later than 2:00 PM EST on Friday October 22, 2010. Potential contractors must be registered in CCR (www.ccr.gov) at the time of submission of their qualifications in order to be considered for award. Facsimile and electronic transmissions will not be accepted. No additional project information will be given to firms during the Sources Sought Notice period. The Government will not pay nor reimburse any costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought Notice.
