Description
Project constructs a facility to consolidate the DLA Enterprise Support Columbus, Public Safety and Environmental, Safety & Occupational Health Offices. Construction includes: administrative area (offices and training/ conference space); secure lobby with bullet proof glass and pass through window with drawer; male/female restroom/locker rooms with showers; male and female restrooms for public use; break room/kitchenette; arms room and arms cleaning area; evidence storage room; file storage room; equipment storage area; interview rooms with sound insulated walls and one- way glass side-light doors; male/female detainment cells; exercise room; a desk sergeant and lobby area for visitors; an emergency operations center/multi-purpose room for meetings/briefings; wet sink area for safety office tests; and mechanical / communications rooms. Construction features include exterior masonry walls, insulated standing seam metal roof, concrete foundation and floor, lighting, heating, air-conditioning & ventilation, electrical utilities, and fire alarm/protection systems. Utility support includes all utility modifications necessary to support site clearance and facility requirements. Site improvements will include limited, covered parking for emergency service vehicles, driveway, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. The project will be designed to current ADA standards and meet DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings (UFC 4-010-01). The design will be compliant with current Sustainable Design Criteria. This project includes demolition of Bldg.48 and minor site restoration (grade/seed) upon completion of the new building. The estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The solicitation is Competitive 8(a), Low Price Technically Acceptable. NAICS is 236220. Size Standard is $33.5 Million. The solicitation is a design-bid-build single phase procurement following the low cost technically acceptable process. Proposals will be evaluated based on the following technical factors: Experience, Past Performance and Price and Pro Forma Requirements. Approximate issue date is 29 October 2010 and approximate closing date is 27 August 2010 at 2:00pm eastern standard time.
