- This sources sought is for the 376th Expeditionary Medical Group (EMDG) requiring the services of a contractor to provide medical consultant services as a Kyrgyz Medical Liaison. This procurement will be for commercial item services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The Medical Liaison will serve as direct support to the Commander, 376 EMDG, Kyrgyzstan, in support of the 376 EMDG medical mission and the humanitarian assistance program. The Medical Liaison will provide medical cultural advice and interpretation as it relates to the treatment of DoD and coalition forces receiving care in Kyrgyzstan. The liaison will also work with the 376 EMDG staff to provide host nation engagement and exchange, medical assistance, and interacting with local and government officials as needed (i.e. Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Health, Healthcare Leaders, Hospital and Clinic Directors, etc.), while providing interpreter/translator services as needed. The 376th Expeditionary Contracting Squadron (ECONS) anticipates awarding a firm fixed-price, contract. The base period of performance shall be from 1 December 2010 or date of award, whichever is later, through 30 September 2011, with provisions for the inclusion of four one-year option periods. This requirement is set-aside IAW class deviation 2009-O0012, Temporary Authority to Acquire Products and Services Produced in Countries along a Major Route of Supply to Afghanistan (Nov 2009). Proposals received from other than countries listed in this class deviation will not be provided consideration. The solicitation (and any amendments) will be available for downloading on the Fed Biz Ops (FBO) web page at www.fbo.gov. No telephone requests for the subsequent solicitation will be accepted. Documentation demonstrating the ability to potentially perform the required services shall be submitted not later than 22 October 2010 at 4:00 PM Local Time, via e-mail to the following personnel: shamika.bailey@maab.afcent.af.mil and ian.lutjens@maab.afcent.af.mil.
