- This construction contract is to extend existing tower, to achieve R56 compliance for this communication site, and to remove the Risk Assessment Code 1 (RAC 1) lightning hazard to building 11. Services includes and not limited to relocating / re-routing wires and cable to outside the building to connect to the underground ring system around the perimeter of the building, relocate two 8' grid microwave dishes and other related work. There will be site visit on NOVEMBER 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM PST for interested potential offerors. GSA plans to issue a "Best Value" Request for Proposal (RFP) with the following evaluation factors, which are numbered in order of importance: (1) Recent specialized experience of the firm in all aspect of Microwave Radio, Antenna, Tower installer, and knowledge about grounding, concrete and cabling. (2) Professional qualifications of the firm and consultant staff, with regard to key personnel to be employed for this construction contract particularly with regard to their experience in relationship to criteria (1). (3) The firm's history of customer satisfaction on similar projects, as evidenced by specific references, awards, testimonials, and repeat business, from a representative selection of the firm's Governmental and civilian clients. The firm's quality and cost control procedure, and cost control successes, should be documented. (4) The ability of the firm to accomplish the work described within reasonable period of time acceptable to the Government as evidenced by specific examples of past performance on similar projects. (5) The location of the firm(s) within the geographical area to be served, and the firm's knowledge of, and experience within, that area. Following the issuance and evaluation of the RFP, GSA intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. Interested potential offerors are invited to provide any comments, recommendations or questions on the synopsis of work activities. All feedback provided will be taken into consideration, however GSA reserves the right to not utilize the comments or any other information provided. THIS IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR A FORMAL PROPOSAL NOR A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE, but is provided as information to the marketplace ans is an ivitation for an expression of interest and demonstration of capability to perform the anticipated work. The Government will NOT pay for the provision of any information nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information.
