- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR OFFERS OR PROPOSALS. The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), Design and Construction Division, Northwest Arctic Region, (Region 10) is seeking to determine availability of sources with the capability to provide design/build services to upgrade the existing commercial office lighting to LED technology. The following project description is offered for information only. This is not the statement of work but rather a general idea of the type and magnitude of the requirement. GSA anticipates the project to cover a gross area of 27,500 sf, consisting of mostly open office space, 5 offices, 5 conference rooms, 2 small meeting rooms, and 4 mid size storage rooms, 2 restroom facilities, kitchen area, and mechanical spaces. The existing lighting system consists of can lighting, 2x2, and 2x4 florescent fixtures. Services required for this project include lighting design/build services, budget analysis-estimates, lighting calculations, specifications, and the ability to present the aforementioned services to a small group. Firms with interest and capability to respond to these requirements should develop the following packet of qualifications: 1) Company information. a. Business type e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Woman Owned Small Business, etc. b. Office contact information c. Point of Contact 2) A short narrative including relevant experience indicating and evidencing capability to successfully meet the aforementioned requirements. 3) Provide (3) commercial open office projects. Projects should included differing strategies using LED technologies. (i.e.: Retrofit, Total Replacement, Layout Changes, etc.) a. Each project submitted shall include: i. A description of the approach used ii. Project Budget iii. Project Hurdles and how those hurdles were resolved iv. Anticipated or actual savings (existing lighting technology vs. LED technology. Include method(s) use to monitor or calculate energy savings.) v. Project Deliverables on time and budget? (If not, please provide an explanation.) b. The design/build firm may provide a maximum of (1) additional project of their choice. (This is a voluntary submission, and is not required, but is limited to one project.) This is NOT a request for offers or proposals and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government as a market research survey for informational purposes. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information provided. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this notice.
