Description
Page 1 of: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Administration, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Division, Pittsburgh Regional Office, Pittsburgh, PA, has a requirement for an accessible home modifications construction contract to an existing dwelling required to meet the needs of a disabled-veteran located in Allison, PA. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 - $100,000. Area of consideration for this acquisition is restricted to firms within 150 miles radius of the Pittsburgh Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Office, 1000 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 The requirement is for Design-Build Construction Service for a residential home. Work will consist of demolition of existing patio, existing back roof; excavate, form and re-pour patio, foundation and slab for addition. There will be an addition built on to the bedroom IAW Public Law 109-461 and FAR 6.206, this is a 100% set-aside procurement for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) capable of performing the services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 236118. Contractors must be bonded and provide proof of licensure. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), accessed via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. and all SDVOSB/VOSB must be certified in Vetbiz www.vetbiz.gov. All information provided will become property of the Department of Veterans Affairs and will not be returned. The official site visit will be 2:00 pm, November 4th, 2010 at the jobsite. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
