- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) - Iowa City, IA is interested in identifying interested vendors capable of providing hazardous waste removal and disposal in accordance with all applicable federal, state, local and VA regulations, requirements and laws to the VA Medical Center, for the period of January 1, 2011 - September 30, 2011 with two one year option years included. Contractor is required to provide all necessary documentation of transportation and disposal to Lois Etre, Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR), VA Safety Officer, per the below equipment list. EQUIPMENT LIST Contractor to provide all services and supplies for hazardous waste removal and disposal on the following items for the period of January 1, 2011, through September 30, 2011. The following items should be used as the estimate of wastes to be removed during the year. These are typical wastes that have been removed in the past, but are not meant to limit the contract to these items or containers. Contractor must comply with all state and federal regulations relating to the removal, transportation, disposal, and/or treatment of hazardous wastes and preparation of manifest. Est. Please identify your business size, and if you are (by the definitions in the Federal Acquisition Regulation) any of the following: Small Business, 8(a) disadvantaged, disadvantaged, woman-owned, veteran-owned, service disable veteran owned or HUB Zone certified. Also please identify if you have GSA/FSS schedule containing the required items, and if so please provide the contract number. Your response shall be submitted no later than 3:00 P.M. CST, October 28, 2010 to the Contracting Officer, Gary L. Rogers (gary.rogers4@va.gov). All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This IS NOT a Request for Quote, or a Request for Proposal, but a notice for gathering information only on interested/capable parties. Applicable NAICS Code of 562111 and size standard is $7.0 million. A solicitation is tentatively scheduled to be issued, but no estimated date can be provided at this time.
