Description

The purpose of this notice is to announce that the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) San Diego will be issuing a solicitation for the Issota Fraschini Engine Air Separator Modification to be performed at the Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego, California. In accordance with 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), only one or a limited number of responsible sources are available and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1). The Government intends to place a purchase order with OEM (Fincantieri Marine System North America, Inc.) located at 2082 FM 2725 Ingleside, Texas 78362 for work to be completed from December 1, 2010 through December 17, 2010. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The purchase order will be firm-fixed price.
