- This Sources Sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only at this time and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA is seeking a potential vendor to provide the following: 1.Title of Project: Team building, leadership development, support, and training for the members of the VHA Service Center (VSC) office tasked with providing cost-effective, high-quality training that facilitates and promotes and implementation teambuilding essential skills. 2.Scope of Work: Team building and leadership development training for the staff of VHA Service Center office. This training will be one day in length and include outdoor experiential problem-solving activities. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, and all other resources required to deliver the requirements. 3. Background: The VHA Service Center (VSC), located in Cleveland, Ohio, provides fiscal, payroll, travel and human resource management services to the Office of Health Information (OHI), as well as human resource management services to Employee Education System (EES) and Program Contracting Activity-Central (PCAC). The goal of the retreat is to formulate the team mentality that is necessary for the provision of successful interdisciplinary educational support. Achieving this goal is critical to VHA Service Center's success in achieving the customer's objectives and meeting the office's mission. The overall objectives of this action are: "Provide a one day training sessions for a total of 30 VHA Service Center (VSC) team members on team development which includes understanding group dynamics, influence behavior in the workplace, understanding of the practices and principles required to maintain a team and leadership skills. Training should include experimental problem-solving activities which are used to break down barriers, create new possibilities, and develop leadership skills. "Give team members immediate critical feedback and evaluation to enhance their skill sets. "Needs to be outside the normal office space in a nontraditional classroom setting. "Facilitate an experiential learning activities and creating a engaging and relevant leaning venue by using the creative blend of theory and practice in both indoor and outdoor learning environments, and focus on the "Why, What, and How" and should be able to customize the learning event to support specific needs or meets the development process with VHA Service Center organization. 4.Performance Period: Date of award through November 26, 2010. The Training Seminar shall occur on the November 16, 2010 5.Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed Price Place of Performance: The training seminar attended by the VHA Service Center staff, shall be conducted at the: Squire Villeneuve Farm 37125 Fairmount Blvd. Gates Mills, Ohio 44040 http://studentaffairs.case.edu/farm/ NAICS 611430 Professional Organizations (size standard $7.0 million per annum) Since this is a sources sought announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents.
