- FORT BLISS REQUEST FOR CELLULAR TELEPHONE SERVICE PROVIDERS TO HOLD INFORMATION BRIEFING: The US Army Garrison at Fort Bliss will be holding one nationwide Information and Technical Forum in order to give Cellular Telephone Service Providers an opportunity to demonstrate their services to Soldiers currently living in newly constructed barracks on Fort Bliss. This Forum will give Cellular Telephone Service Providers an opportunity to discuss their capabilities in detail to the Fort Bliss customer base and give the ability to the Fort Bliss Soldiers to express their concerns on Cellular Service shortfalls in the new constructed areas on Fort Bliss. The overall goal is to give Cellular Service Providers the opportunity to showcase the service they provide and layout their cellular coverage that is offered on Fort Bliss. The Primary Objectives for this Information and Technical Forum: "To Provide Information to Fort Bliss Soldiers on Cellular Telephone Service Coverage "Identify Cellular Telephone Service Providers that are available to Fort Bliss "Specify the Fort Bliss requirements "Identify Cellular Telephone Service Providers Capabilities Fort Bliss will be seeking input, at a minimum into the following concerns: "Identify Services provided by the Cellular Telephone Service Providers "Determine the most effective approach to extend cellular service to new constructed areas on Fort Bliss "Be prepared to answer questions regarding cellular coverage on Fort Bliss "Determine what shortfalls are identified from each Cellular Telephone Service Providers "Determine how to maximize effectiveness of the service provided "Ensure that the requirements for Fort Bliss are possible using Industry Standards. INFORMATION GATHERED RELATIVE TO THIS FORUM WILL PERMIT ANALYSIS TO DETERMINE THE CAPABILITES OF PROVIDING COMMERICAL INTERNET, CABLE/SATELLITE TELEVISION AND TELEPHONE SERVICE AND INPUT IS DESIRED FROM ALL INTERESTED PARTIES. THIS FORUM IS NOT RESTRICTED AND IS OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS THAT PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING CAPABILITIES ON AND AROUND FORT BLISS. 1 Commercial Wireless Telephone Service (NAICS 517210) The Information and Technical Forum will be held: 10 November 2010 Fort Bliss Centennial Banquet and Conference Center, Building 11199 East Bliss, Fort Bliss, Texas. Due to heightened security at the post, you will be required to enter through the Main East Biggs Gate off of Sgt. Majors Blvd and obtain a day pass. Please arrive early in order to be processed timely. You must have proof of insurance, a drivers license, and auto registration in order to obtain a pass. The Forum will Start Promptly at 1:00 PM and go until 4:00 PM LOCAL TIME. Assembly will take place starting at 1:00 PM.
